A distinguished visit at Korntex: The Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, H.E. Eskindir Yirga Asfaw, visited the headquarters of Korntex GmbH in Fellbach together with the Honorary Consul of Ethiopia for Baden-Württemberg, Dr. Thomas Breitling, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Baden-Württemberg.

The visit underlines the growing importance of international economic relations and the exchange of sustainable solutions within the textile industry.

Expanding International Partnerships

The visit follows the official business delegation of the State of Baden-Württemberg to Ethiopia and Kenya in April, in which Korntex founder and Managing Director Dr. Alexander A. Jurack participated.

The delegation was welcomed by Managing Directors Dr. Alexander A. Jurack and Arne Kirchner, who presented the company and its international orientation.

Focus on Sustainability and Economic Cooperation

During a guided tour, the visitors gained valuable insights into Korntex's product portfolio, the company's development and its international activities.

The discussions focused on the future of sustainable textile production, transparent supply chains and economic cooperation between Baden-Württemberg and Ethiopia.

With approximately 130 million inhabitants, an average age of just 19 years and a rapidly growing economy, Ethiopia is considered one of Africa's most important emerging markets.

The country's textile and apparel industry, in particular, offers significant potential for international partnerships and sustainable value chains.
